I want details about the need for function spaces for the trace in regard to Hilbert\u2019s mistake, about the additional Euler-Lagrange equations found by Noether, and about Tonelli\u2019s direct method.\u201d Further refinements were then made by prompting Gamma to modify slides. In this talk we use these slides and prompts as a basis for a parallel discussion about the important points of the Calculus of Variations and AI\u2019s ability to understand relevance.
